Privacy policy
Last updated May 10, 2026
evenly.life helps you track drinking and related context in one place. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you stay in control. It is meant to be readable — it is not legal advice.
1. Who we are
evenly.life is a web application operated as evenly.life (“we”, “us”). If you have questions about this policy or your data, use the contact details at the end of this page.
2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use the app, we may process:
- Account data — for example email address and authentication identifiers from your sign-in provider when you use social login.
- Profile data — such as display name or profile image if you choose to add them.
- Drink tracking data — drinks you log (types, amounts, times, and related fields you enter).
- Day logs — per-day notes, limits, mood or control markers, and similar fields you save in the app.
- Analytics data — aggregated usage statistics via Google Analytics (see below).
- Push subscription data — technical data needed to deliver optional browser push notifications, if you turn them on.
- Technical logs — standard server or infrastructure logs (for example errors, IP address, and timestamps) needed to run and secure the service.
Passwords you set directly in the app are stored as hashes — we do not store plaintext passwords.
3. How we use your data
We use your information to:
- Provide the core features you expect (logging, calendar, summaries, limits, and exports).
- Keep your account secure and troubleshoot problems.
- Send optional push notifications only if you enable them.
- Understand how the product is used in aggregate so we can improve it.
- Meet legal or safety obligations where applicable.
We do not use your drinking entries to sell products from third parties, and we do not sell your personal data.
4. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to see how visitors and signed-in users move through the site — for example which screens are used and general traffic patterns. This helps us fix friction and prioritize improvements.
Google may process certain data according to its own policies. You can use browser controls, opt-out tools provided by Google, or extensions that block analytics scripts if you prefer.
6. Push notifications
Browser push notifications are optional. You can enable or disable them in Settings. If you enable them, we store the technical subscription information required to deliver messages to your device.
We aim to keep push copy discreet: notifications are not used to broadcast detailed information about specific drinks or alcohol amounts. You can revoke permission at any time in your browser or in Settings.
7. Data export
You can download a copy of much of your data from Settings, in CSV, JSON, or a simple PDF report. Exports are built for your account only and include metadata such as when the file was generated. They are not a complete legal archive of every technical record we might hold.
8. Data sharing
We use trusted service providers to host and operate the app (for example cloud hosting and database providers). They process data on our instructions to run the service.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your drinking log for marketing lists. Where the law requires disclosure, we would comply.
9. Data retention
We keep your account and app data for as long as your account exists and as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account (where we offer that), we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable time, except where a longer period is required by law or for legitimate security backups.
10. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect data in transit and at rest, including access controls and hashed passwords where passwords apply. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure; we work to reduce risk and respond to issues responsibly.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. You can also use in-app export where available.
12. Adult users / legal drinking age
evenly.life is intended for adults who are of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. The service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the legal drinking age.
13. Health and safety disclaimer
evenly.life provides estimates and self-tracking tools only. It is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Estimates and session models must not be used to decide whether it is safe to drive, operate machinery, or perform tasks where impairment could cause harm. Always follow local laws and use your own judgment.
14. Contact us
For privacy-related requests or questions, email support@evenly.life.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top. If changes are significant, we may also notify you in the app or by email where appropriate.
